WaR to introduce educational benefits and tuition program to its Players

POSTED BY WAR Awaking September 28, 2017

In the society that we are living in, education is a must for a promising and secure future and a stable life. it’s seen that an educated person has more chances of landing up a good paying job and the more educated you are, the better career options you have.

It is a common thing that young players who aspire to pursuit a professional gaming career, quit their studies or take a break from school. Focussing on their education while trying to rise in the eSports scene is hard to combine. You’d want to take every opportunity you get as a player before it’s too late. This mindset is reasonable on the short term; but what will happen with their future when the players leave the eSports scene?

As probably the first eSports organisation worldwide, Wind and Rain will be offering their players free tuition besides other educational-focused benefits. Those will be included as a special contract clause. Since some of our players are 18 years or younger, they’re also attending school.
Because they are playing under our banner, we feel responsible to help them with following their studies as good and efficiently as possible and prepare them not only for their career path in esports.

Despite everyone’s passion for esports -the thing that connects us all and something we all truly love- we do value education a lot. We don’t want to help our players with their careers only in the short term but in the long term as well, since we are convinced that a good education is crucial for the life after the career of being a player especially in times were the future of amateur LoL-Esports is still unknown.

Our players will get help in various subjects, but also in projects that they’ll get assigned by their school or university. By helping them getting good grades and passing their classes, we as Wind and Rain are hoping to reach our goals as well. This is a decision for the long run. It’s not eSports related, but to us, our players are not only players: they’re part of the Wind and Rain family. We want that everyone who’s involved with us, can look forward to a good future, even when they aren’t playing for our organization anymore. We strive to give our players the best opportunity to develop and succeed – their success is our success.
